Yom HaShoah ceremony, name reading ceremony

On the occasion of Yom HaShoah, the date chosen by the State of Israel for the commemoration in memory of the victims of the Holocaust and the heroes of the Jewish Resistance during the Second World War, an uninterrupted public reading of 24 hours, day and night, from Sunday 5 to Monday 6 May 2024.

This year are read the names of the Jews of France deported by convoys 22 to 57. Some 200 people, former deportees, parents, volunteers, children… read in turn, from the lists from the book Memorial of the deportation of Serge Klarsfeld (ed. Association des FFDJF), the names of «those whose name only remains» (Simone Veil).
